Denis Sazhin is selected as a featured artist of April on XaraXone.

Also an Inspirational Art section of March’s Xara Outsider is devoted to icons. Our jobs are also presented there.

For “OliAr” consulting agency we’ve created a logo and a set of website icons.

“Help!” cries a customer. “I’m drowning in the ocean of problems and questions!”

Dear friends,

From time to time you can see new articles, tutorials or other useful stuff appearing in our site. We hope they help you to create icons and to understand “how and why”.

But I can see a considerable defect in our activity: we ourselves set a topic to tell about instead of asking you what you’re interested in. We decided to change the situation.

From now on there is a “First Aid” section in the site.
It’s goal is simple: you set the problem and we help you to solve it.

“First Aid” rules

1. We don’t critisize your work, rate it or do it for you. We just help you solve problems
2. “First Aid” is a public resource. Please bear in mind that your name, your text and attached graphics may and will be published in our site. Please don’t send any copyrighted material that can not be published by us.
3. This is not a daily resource, but periodical. Updating rate depends on the number of questions and our possibilities.
4. To send you request please, mail to help@iconka.com. In a mail body please specify your name, describe your problem and attach additional materials if needed.

Why do we ask you about needed icon sizes? Why so insistently? And not just sizes, but different kinds of them: main size, additional size, etc…

Why do we give a heavy sigh when hearing “Please make a big one, and we’ll resize it ourselves.”

Why do we store a strategic reserve of heart medicine for the case (although not very often one) when we see our “technically processed” icons built into the design?

Dear Friends!
The most popular question we’re asked is: What program do you use to draw icons?

The answer is: we mostly use Xara Xtreme.

You may now ask: why don’t you place this information at the top of the site to avoid further questions about it?
There are two reasons:
1) people will never stop to ask anyway;
2) the program is only an tool handy for us. Please do not switch to it only because we have some videos with drawing processes that look fast and easy. This is just a question of practice and experience. Use the tool you are familiar with, use the program convenient to you and you’ll reach the result much faster.

The result of the video is not wasted of course.
